Gold Prices Fall ₹800 Before Rakshabandhan; Silver Holds Firm

Gold became cheaper in Delhi just before Rakshabandhan.

Gold had already fallen the day before, so it has lost ₹1,400 in two sessions.

Silver did not change and stayed at ₹2,50,500 per kilogram.

Gold and silver are often bought as gifts during Rakshabandhan.

A stronger US dollar made gold more expensive for some international buyers.

Higher bond returns also made gold less attractive because gold does not pay interest.
