Tamil Nadu Makes Online Registration Mandatory for First Property Sales
TN Govt Mandates Online Registration for First Sale of Plots, Flats · deccanchronicle.com

The government of Tamil Nadu has made a new rule about buying land and homes.

Now, when someone buys a plot or a flat for the first time, the paperwork must be done online.

People no longer have to visit a government registration office in person.

Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay started this new system at a building called the Secretariat in Chennai.

It is part of a bigger plan to update how the Registration Department works.

Buyers and sellers must make an account on a website called TNREGINET.

They also have to show an ID called Aadhaar and prove who they are with a fingerprint or eye scan.

Government officers must check the documents within 24 hours.

The final papers get special signatures, stamps, and codes so nobody can fake them.
