Truck collision kills one, bus incident injures boy in West Bengal
A truck was going too fast and crashed into a bunch of small electric rickshaws and motorcycles in a town called Raiganj.
One man named Deepak Dhar died right there, and ten other people were hurt.
People got angry and hit the truck driver before the police came.
The driver was taken to a hospital.
On the same day, a 15‑year‑old boy fell off a private bus in Calcutta and got hurt.
The bus driver was taken into custody.
Both groups of injured people were sent to hospitals, and some of them are still very sick.
A speeding truck collided with e‑rickshaws and motorcycles in Raiganj, killing 50‑year‑old Deepak Dhar and injuring 10 others.
The crash happened on the state highway near Baroduari, about 4 km from Raiganj town, as the truck was traveling from Karandighi to Raiganj.
An angry mob attacked the truck driver before police intervened; the driver was later admitted to Raiganj Government Medical College and Hospital.
Separately, a 15‑year‑old boy fell from a private bus on Raja Rammohan Roy Road in Calcutta, sustaining multiple injuries; the bus driver was detained.
The injured from both incidents were taken to local hospitals, with some patients in critical condition.
