Google Opens SynthID Detector to Check AI Content
Google launches SynthID detector for AI-generated and edited content, here’s how it work · firstpost.com

Google has made a website available that helps people check whether some pictures, videos or audio were made or changed using AI.

The website looks for special digital marks called watermarks.

These marks are hidden from people but can be detected by the tool.

It can recognize some content made with tools from Google and other companies.

People can use it for free, but they need to sign in.

The tool does not work for every kind of AI content.

It may also be unclear whether something was made entirely by AI or only edited with AI.

Google says support for images made with Apple Intelligence is coming soon.

There is not yet a universal checker that can identify all AI-made content.
