Chhattisgarh CM Honours Retired Teachers, Meritorious Students in Bemetara
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai honoured retired teachers and successful students in Bemetara.
Eighty-one retired teachers received gifts and certificates for their service.
Forty-two students received gold medals and certificates for doing well in examinations.
Sai said education helps people, communities and the country progress.
He said teachers help children learn values and become responsible citizens.
The government is expanding schools, libraries, scholarships and other educational support.
He also spoke about roads, electricity, drinking water and other public services.
Water conservation groups were honoured for improving groundwater conditions in the district.
The event also included announcements for a new road and an electricity sub-station.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai felicitated 81 retired teachers and 42 meritorious students in Bemetara.
Retired teachers received shawls, coconuts, mementoes and appreciation certificates.
Meritorious students received gold medals and certificates from social organisations.
Sai said quality education, scholarships and modern facilities should reach every child.
The event also recognised water conservation efforts and announced Rs 2 crore for Bemetara’s Gaurav Path.
