A man in a village in Uttar Pradesh, India, was hurt very badly and died after he spoke up about something he thought was wrong.

Someone in the village was making and selling liquor, which is against the law.

The man said he did not like that it was happening.

The village head, a person who leads the village, was not happy about this.

He called the man to his house at night.

Then the village head and some other people hit the man with sticks.

The man was badly injured, and his family took him to a hospital.

Sadly, the doctors there said he had died.

The police are now looking for the people who did this.

Eight people are accused, and one of them has already been caught.
