Elderly Woman Dies After Allegedly Jumping From Thane Tower

An elderly woman in a city called Thane in India passed away after falling from a very high floor of her apartment building.

The building is called the Savanna tower, and it is part of a housing complex named Vasant Lawns.

Police say she may have jumped from the 21st floor.

The woman's name was Kumuda Shetty, and she was the mother of a business executive who works at a big company called the Tata Group.

Before the fall, police say she took off her mangalsutra, a special necklace that married women in India wear, and left it inside her home.
