The government of Tamil Nadu has decided to help Khadi weavers more by increasing the money they give to a special fund from 12% to 16%.

This is to help the weavers earn more and live better.

The government also plans to make the markets where Khadi products are sold in Tiruchi, Salem, and Thanjavur look nicer and more modern.

They will also set up ten new places to sell palm and Khadi products.

Khadi is a special kind of cloth made by hand from natural materials like cotton, silk, or wool.

Sometimes, it is mixed with a little polyester to make it stronger.

The Tamil Nadu Khadi and Village Industries Board also makes many kinds of soap and other cleaning products that people really like.
