Indore Lok Adalat Settles 344 Cases, Reunites Estranged Couples
A special court event called a Lok Adalat was held in Indore on Saturday.
It helps people settle disputes by reaching agreements.
The Family Court settled 103 cases out of 512 cases that were listed.
In about 24 cases, husbands and wives agreed to live together again after counselling.
Some couples had separated because of arguments, family problems or alleged mistreatment.
One couple also promised to care for their young son and avoid earlier mistakes.
The High Court’s Indore Bench settled another 241 cases.
Those settlements involved awards worth more than Rs 3.19 crore for 1,170 people.
