Commissioner reviews Anantapur civic works, directs timely completion

They talked about how to make the city better.
The Commissioner asked workers to fix roads, drains, drinking water pipes and street lights quickly.
He also wanted damaged roads to be patched up immediately.
There is special money set aside for certain communities, and the Commissioner said it must be used only for things like roads, drains, culverts and street lights in those colonies.
The city has a plan to make the air cleaner, so workers were told to spray water to control dust, grow more greenery and check vehicle pollution.
The Commissioner also said every private garbage truck must have a GPS so the city can track its routes every day.
Security cameras will be used to catch people who dump trash in public places.

A review meeting was held at the Commissioner's Chamber of Anantapur Municipal Corporation on Thursday to assess city development, SC/ST Sub-Plan, 15th Finance Commission, NCAP and sanitation works.
Commissioner M Jaswanth Rao directed officials to accelerate road, drainage, drinking water and street light works and complete patch repairs on damaged roads immediately.
SC/ST Sub-Plan funds for CC roads, drainage, culverts, pipelines, community halls and street lights in colonies must be used strictly as intended.
For NCAP air pollution measures, the Commissioner ordered water sprinkling, dust control, greenery expansion and vehicle pollution checks.
Sanitation directives include GPS on all private garbage tractors, daily route monitoring, CCTV action against public dumping and a special cleanliness drive.
