Nandyal gets new water and sewage plants
The government is building new water and sewage treatment plants in Nandyal to solve water problems.
The project costs ₹211 crore and includes a water treatment plant, a sewage treatment plant, and a project to improve a local lake.
The minister said this will make sure the town has enough water.
He also advised farmers to grow crops that need less water.
The collector promised that the projects will be completed on time and will be monitored for quality.

Includes a ₹38.75 crore Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and a ₹169.67 crore Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).
Minister N.M.D. Farooq urged farmers to shift to less water-intensive crops due to climate concerns.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledged Nandyal’s water conservation efforts in his Mann Ki Baat address.
District Collector G Raja Kumari assured timely completion and quality monitoring of the projects.
