AICTE-Mitacs Program: 300 Indian Students to Get Funded Canada Internships
A group called AICTE and a Canadian group called Mitacs are working together to send Indian college students to Canada.
Every year, up to 300 students can go and help with research projects at Canadian universities.
The internship lasts 12 weeks and happens during the summer months of 2027.
Students get to work with professors and research teams in person.
The program pays for the airplane ticket to Canada and a place to stay.
It also pays for food, school fees, and emergency health insurance.
Students can work on projects in science, engineering, math, humanities, and social sciences.
To apply, students must fill out a form online and send their CV, a reference letter, and school transcripts.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has opened applications for the AICTE-Mitacs Globalink Research Internship (GRI) 2027.
Up to 300 Indian undergraduate students per year will receive fully funded 12-week research internships in Canada under a three-year initiative starting in 2027.
Applications must be submitted by September 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM Pacific Time.
Internships will be conducted in person between May 1 and October 31, 2027, at more than 70 academic institutions across Canada.
Funding covers round-trip airfare, housing, enrolment fees, food and incidental stipends, and emergency health insurance.
Applicants must be Indian undergraduates aged 18 or older and must apply to at least three research projects across at least three Canadian provinces.
