A big sports event called the Commonwealth Games is coming in 2030, and it will be held in a city called Ahmedabad in Gujarat.

A leader from Karnataka, Dr G. Parameshwara, wants Karnataka to help host some of the games too.

He thinks this would show everyone how good Karnataka is at sports.

He wants to make the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru better so some events can happen there.

There is also a plan to build a big Sports City near Devanahalli on about 60 acres of land.

Karnataka has been really good at swimming and has been national champions for 33 years.

The government wants to help athletes by giving them jobs, like in the police department.

They increased the special job reservation for sports people from 2% to 3%.

They also want to send talented athletes to other countries for advanced training.

This is all to make Karnataka one of the best sporting states in the country.
