A court is investigating the death of software engineer Kavin Selvaganesh.

Four people accused in the case must remain in judicial custody until September 1.

They include Kavin’s alleged accused, his parents, and a relative.

Two of the accused parents are suspended police sub-inspectors.

The accused appeared before the court through a video link.

One accused, K. Saravanan, had earlier been granted bail in this case.

Police later detained him in another alleged attempt-to-murder case.

The CB-CID has asked a higher court to cancel his bail.
