Mateen Patel's Custody Extended Till August 17 in TCS Case

A court in Nashik decided that a man named Mateen Patel has to stay in jail for a few more days.

He is a local leader from a city called Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

The police say he helped hide a woman named Nida Khan, who is the main suspect in a case.

The case is about bad things that reportedly happened to a woman who worked at a big company called TCS.

There are also claims that people were forced to change their religion.

The judge wants to hear the woman's side of the story before deciding anything more.

Because her statement has not been recorded yet, Mr. Patel cannot ask for bail right now.

Another man, Danish Shaikh, is also waiting for the court's decision on his bail.

Six other people connected to this case have already been allowed to go free.

Everyone will go back to court on August 17 to talk about it again.
