Telangana Swimmers Win Gold and Bronze at Junior Nationals
Young swimmers from Telangana competed in a national swimming championship.
Sri Nithya Sagi won a gold medal in the women’s 200-meter backstroke.
She finished the race in 2:24.59.
Suhas Preetham Mylari won a bronze medal in the men’s 200-meter backstroke.
His time was 2:06.62.
Other swimmers from Karnataka and SSCB also won medals.
The competition is taking place in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
It runs from August 18 to 23, 2026.
Telangana sports organizations congratulated the swimmers and their support team.
Sri Nithya Sagi won gold in the women’s 200m backstroke in 2:24.59.
Telangana’s Suhas Preetham Mylari earned bronze in the men’s 200m backstroke in 2:06.62.
Karnataka’s Priyanshi Misra and Meenakshi Menon took silver and bronze in the women’s final.
Karnataka’s Vedanta Venkata Madhira won the men’s race ahead of SSCB’s Mongam Theerdhu Samadev.
