Classical Dance Recitals Showcase Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam Mastery
A dance programme in Secunderabad featured two young classical dancers.
Ruthvika Nalamalapu performed Kuchipudi.
She told stories about Lord Shiva, the river Ganga and Lord Krishna.
She also acted as an angry heroine in a javali dance.
Her performance ended with difficult rhythmic steps on a brass plate.
Sahana Umesh performed Bharatanatyam.
She showed different forms of the goddess, Krishna’s magical flute and a lively dance for Lord Murugan.
Both dancers were praised for their expressions, strong movements and difficult footwork.
