Education Minister orders NTA overhaul amid UGC-NET re-exam

The government runs a big test called UGC-NET that helps students get fellowships and become professors.

This year, many students complained that the test papers had mistakes.

Some names of famous scholars were spelled wrong, and some questions were repeated from old tests.

The people in charge looked into the complaints and found many errors.

They decided that students who took three subjects—English, Commerce, and Sociology—will take the test again.

The new tests will happen on September 9 and 10.

The Education Minister, Pralhad Joshi, asked the testing agency to check all its test processes and fix problems.

He also wants better security and new experts to help make test papers.

Some students protested in Delhi because they were upset about the mistakes.

The government says it is working to make the tests fair and better.
