NTA Orders UGC-NET Retests After Errors in Three Papers
UGC-NET June 2026: Results for 84 subjects out; re-exam dates for English, Commerce, and Sociology released — Details · livemint.com

The UGC-NET test was held in June 2026 for 87 subjects.

Most students, from 84 subjects, can already see their results.

But students taking English, Commerce or Sociology must take their test again.

A committee found mistakes in those papers, including misspelled scholar names and confusing book titles.

It also found translation, grammar and question-wording problems.

Some questions had been repeated from earlier exams.

The new English and Commerce tests will happen on September 9, while Sociology will be tested on September 10.

Students will not have to pay an extra fee.

Their results will be released after the new tests are checked.
