Nearly 5,200 Kashmiri Pandit Package Flats Completed
The government is building homes for Kashmiri Pandit employees in the Kashmir Valley.
There are plans for 6,000 flats at 20 locations.
Officials said 5,176 flats are now finished, which is nearly 5,200.
Other work, such as roads, drains, lifts and community halls, is almost complete at many sites.
The finished homes will be given to eligible employees in stages.
Repairs at migrant camps in Jammu are also expected to begin soon.
New plans include more flats at Purkhoo and improvements to schools, health centers, roads and parks.
A community hall at Jagti has already been completed.
A total of 5,176 of 6,000 approved flats for Kashmiri Pandit PM Package employees have been completed.
The flats are located across 20 sites in the Kashmir Valley.
Lifts, internal roads, drainage systems and community halls are nearing completion at most locations.
Completed flats will be handed over in phases to eligible employees according to government allotments.
Repairs at migrant camps in Jammu, additional housing and infrastructure projects are also being advanced.
