The Enforcement Directorate has arrested Kailash Chand Mangla in a case about allegedly fake ghee.

Mangla is a promoter of Sukriti Foods.

Investigators say the ghee was made with different oils and chemicals instead of being genuine cow ghee.

They allege it was supplied to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams for making Tirumala laddu prasadam.

The agency says the suspected supplies took place from 2019 to 2024.

It estimates the total allegedly fraudulent supplies were worth about Rs 230 crore.
