VinSpace signs SpaceX launch deal for 2027 satellite mission

A company in Vietnam called VinSpace wants to send its own satellites into space for the first time.

Satellites are machines that orbit Earth and can help with things like communication and data.

VinSpace has made a deal with SpaceX, a rocket company owned by Elon Musk.

The plan is for VinSpace's satellites to ride into space in 2027 on a SpaceX rocket that carries many customers' satellites at once.

Sharing the rocket helps lower the cost of launching.

The satellites will be tested in space and could be used for commercial purposes later.

VinSpace is part of a big Vietnamese company called Vingroup, founded by businessman Pham Nhat Vuong.

Vietnam launched its first telecommunications satellite in 2008 and has been working on its space program for decades.

Vietnam wants to become a stronger space country in Southeast Asia by 2030.

This deal is a big step for Vietnam's growing space industry.
