Navi Mumbai International Airport received a brand-new airplane for the first time.

The airplane belongs to Akasa Air and is a Boeing 737 MAX 8.

Its registration number is VT-YBR.

It flew from Seattle in the United States to Iceland, then Egypt, and finally India.

The plane landed at the airport at 4 a.m.

on Thursday.

This was an important first for the recently opened airport.

Akasa Air now has 41 airplanes.

The airline expects to receive four more airplanes this year.
