Tata Motors Foundation Launches Rural Development Programme in Dharwad
Tata Motors Foundation has started a rural development programme in three villages in Dharwad district.
The villages are Belur, Heggeri and Neeralkatti.
The programme will work with local people and government offices.
It will support farming, jobs, health, education and basic infrastructure.
It will also help villagers use government welfare schemes.
The programme aims to improve local governance so communities can guide their own development.
It is being carried out with BAIF.
The programme has already worked in nearly 200 villages across five states.
Tata Motors Foundation launched its Integrated Village Development Programme in Belur Gram Panchayat, Dharwad district.
The initiative covers Belur, Heggeri and Neeralkatti villages in partnership with BAIF.
The programme will focus on agriculture, livelihoods, health, education, infrastructure and local governance.
It aims to help communities access government schemes by improving documentation, institutions and governance capacity.
Since its 2018 launch, the programme has reached nearly 200 villages across 103 gram panchayats in five states.
