Greater Noida Approves Double-Decker Flyover to Ease Traffic
Traffic snarls to end between Ek Murti Chowk-Delhi-Meerut Expressway? Greater Noida board approves double-decker flyover · livemint.com

The Greater Noida Authority approved a plan for a new double-decker flyover.

It would connect Ek Murti Chowk with the Delhi-Meerut Expressway through the crowded Shahberi area.

The flyover would be about seven kilometres long.

One level would carry traffic from Greater Noida West, and the other would carry traffic from Ghaziabad and Crossings Republik.

Officials say the design is needed because the existing road is narrow and surrounded by housing complexes.

The project is expected to cost ₹756 crore, but some approvals and final details are still pending.

The board also approved a separate road linking Junpat with the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

It approved flats for a National Disaster Response Force response centre as well.

These projects are intended to improve travel and emergency response in the area.
