Serial UK sex attacker jailed for life for double murder
There was a man named Simon Levy who hurt many women.
He attacked women on trains in London.
The police caught him several times, but they let him go.
That let him keep hurting people.
He hurt five more women and then killed two women.
Their names were Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo and Sheryl Wilkins.
He also hurt a third woman very badly.
A judge named Mark Lucraft sent him to prison forever.
The judge said Levy uses other people for his own happiness.
The police and the mayor of London said they made mistakes and missed chances to stop him.
Simon Levy, 40, was sentenced on Wednesday to a whole-life order without parole for murdering Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo and Sheryl Wilkins.
He was found guilty of murdering Valencia-Trujillo, 53, in March 2025 and Wilkins, 39, in August 2025, plus the rape and serious assault of a third woman in January 2025.
Judge Mark Lucraft said Levy was 'clearly someone who ruthlessly exploits others for your own personal, sexual satisfaction.'
Levy was separately convicted in February of sexually assaulting 10 women on London trains between October 2023 and May 2025, and of assaulting a prison officer in April 2022.
London's Metropolitan Police referred itself to the watchdog for downgrading Levy to medium-risk, and Mayor Sadiq Khan said 'time and time again, opportunities to stop him were missed.'
