Online Darshan Booking Planned at Tiruvannamalai Temple to Curb Middlemen
A temple in Tiruvannamalai plans to let people book darshan online.
Darshan means going to see and worship the temple deity.
Minister S. Ramesh said this could reduce the role of middlemen.
Devotees would be able to choose a time before visiting.
The temple also plans to stop people from bringing mobile phones inside from September 1.
Officials were asked to improve security and basic facilities.

HR&CE Minister S. Ramesh said online darshan booking would soon be introduced at Tiruvannamalai Arunachaleswarar temple.
The system would let devotees choose darshan timings and help reduce middlemen and confusion.
