Delhi Clears Elevated Corridors and Metro Access Projects
Delhi has approved several projects to help people travel more easily.
The largest project is a raised six-lane road in South Delhi.
It will connect Outer Ring Road with Mehrauli-Badarpur Road.
The road should let drivers skip about 12 busy intersections.
Another plan will improve traffic movement around Mukarba Chowk.
A new road link there is expected to divert about 20% of current traffic.
Officials also approved better walking and transfer facilities around six Metro stations.

UTTIPEC approved a 5.5-km, six-lane elevated corridor on Maa Anandmayee Marg.
The corridor will connect Outer Ring Road with Mehrauli-Badarpur Road and bypass about 12 junctions.
An underpass and roundabout are planned at the Crowne Plaza intersection on Okhla Estate Marg.
Mukarba Chowk will receive a widened 10-lane bridge and a new four-lane railway overbridge.
Access plans for six Delhi Metro stations were approved, completing clearances for all 31 Phase I and II station plans.
