AP Launches Subsidised Rice Scheme to Curb Price Rise
The Andhra Pradesh government started a new program to sell good quality rice at lower prices.
They will sell BPT Steam Rice for ₹52 per kilogram and BPT Raw Rice for ₹50 per kilogram, which is cheaper than the usual market price.
The program will be available in 150 farmers’ markets and 500 rice mills.
Families can buy up to 10 kilograms at the discounted price.
The goal is to help people who are worried about rice becoming too expensive and to keep the market stable.
