Performance guarantees sought from firms to ensure quality of Ram temple works: Nripendra Misra · theprint.in

The main construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is finished.

Companies that worked on it are now moving from regular payments to final payments.

Before receiving those payments, they must promise that their work will remain strong.

They will do this by providing performance bank guarantees.

The temple trust also wants an outside group to check many of the final bills.

Engineers India Limited will review at least 60 to 70 percent of them.

Other projects, including an auditorium and museum, are still being built.

Some of this work is three to four months late.

Officials hope the delayed work will be finished by January or February.
