Jayakrishna takes charge as new Tirupati Municipal Commissioner

A man named M Jayakrishna started a very important new job in a city called Tirupati in India.

His new job is to be the boss of the city's municipal corporation, which takes care of things like roads, water, cleanliness and other city services.

He officially began his duties on a Saturday.

To celebrate the start of his new job, Vedic scholars came and gave him their blessings.

Jayakrishna said he feels honored to serve Tirupati, which is a very special and holy pilgrimage city for many people.

He promised to work with clear goals and follow time-bound plans to help the city grow and improve.

He also said he wants to find and fix the problems that local people face.

He asked the people of Tirupati to cooperate with the municipality so their city can progress.

Many other city officials came to see him begin his new job and showed their support.
