DCA Seizes 113 Illegally Stocked Abortion Kits in Nalgonda
The Drugs Control Administration (DCA) in Telangana went to a medical shop in Nalgonda called Sri Laxmi Medical Agencies.
They found 113 abortion kits that were being sold without proper paperwork.
These kits contain medicines that can end a pregnancy, but they must only be used under a doctor's supervision.
The DCA took the kits and said they were worth about 47,672 rupees.
Selling these kits illegally can get you sent to jail for up to two years.
DCA raided Sri Laxmi Medical Agencies in Nalgonda, seizing 113 abortion kits.
Kits were sold without valid purchase bills, violating the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
Seized kits were valued at Rs. 47,672.
Kits contain Mifepristone and Misoprostol for medical termination of pregnancy.
Illegal sale of MTP kits punishable by up to two years imprisonment.
