BJP Maharashtra Chief Supports 20-Year Rakshabandhan Ride Honouring Soldiers
A group of motorcycle riders from Dombivli travelled to Kargil to thank Indian soldiers.
They have been doing this journey for 20 years.
This year, their message was ‘Nation First, Heroes Supreme’.
They travelled more than 2,252 kilometres.
On August 15, they displayed a very large Indian flag at Kargil.
They also carried flags to several places in the region.
On August 28, they celebrated Rakshabandhan with soldiers by tying rakhis on their wrists.
After the trip, the riders returned to Dombivli.
They joined the city’s Dahi Handi celebrations and shared a message of patriotism.
Ravindra Chavan supported the 20-year-old ‘Ek Bandhan, Rakshabandhan’ initiative led by Rohit Acharekar’s Way to Cause Riders Club.
The riders travelled more than 2,252 kilometres from Dombivli to Kargil under the theme ‘Shivrashtr – Nation First, Heroes Supreme’.
A 1,000-square-foot Tricolour was unfurled at Kargil on August 15, alongside 42 smaller flags on Vijaypath.
The group carried out flag-hoisting activities at Leh, Turtuk, Pangong Lake, Hanle, Umling La and Lamayuru.
Riders tied rakhis to Indian soldiers at Kargil on August 28 before returning to Dombivli for Dahi Handi celebrations.
