New Airport Fees Begin For Arriving Bengaluru Passengers
Passengers using Bengaluru’s airport will have new airport fees starting September 1.
People arriving at the airport did not previously pay a User Development Fee.
They will now pay Rs 125 if arriving on a domestic flight and Rs 426 if arriving internationally.
People departing on domestic and international flights will pay less than before.
The new fees do not include taxes.
Some people, such as children under two and airline crew working on duty, do not have to pay.
Transit passengers continuing their journey within 24 hours on the same ticket are also exempt.
The new fee rules last until March 31, 2031.
Airlines will also pay revised charges when their aircraft land.
AERA approved a new UDF structure for Kempegowda International Airport effective September 1.
Domestic arriving passengers will pay Rs 125, while international arriving passengers will pay Rs 426, excluding taxes.
Departing passenger UDFs will fall from Rs 550 to Rs 300 domestically and from Rs 1,500 to Rs 997 internationally.
The revised aeronautical tariff will remain in effect through March 31, 2031.
Domestic and international aircraft landing charges will be Rs 325 and Rs 455 per metric tonne, respectively.
