Bengaluru Airport Reports Mango Growth, Revises Passenger Fees
Bengaluru Airport moved many more mangoes to other countries this year.
From April to July 2026, it handled 1,226 metric tonnes of mangoes.
It sent 2.63 million mango pieces to 38 destinations.
The United Kingdom and United States received the most shipments.
The mangoes were carried by 16 airlines.
The airport also plans to change its passenger fees from September 1.
Under the new system, arriving passengers will pay a fee too.
BIAL says the combined fees will be lower than the current departing-passenger fees.
The airport says future infrastructure projects will help it handle more passengers.
BLR Airport handled 1,226 metric tonnes of mangoes between April and July 2026, a 33 per cent year-on-year increase.
The airport shipped 2.63 million mangoes to 38 international destinations through 16 airlines.
The United Kingdom and United States were the leading destinations for the mango shipments.
From September 1, revised User Development Fees will apply to both departing and arriving passengers.
BIAL said the revised fee structure shares charges between arriving and departing passengers without increasing the overall base UDF.
