BMC Launches AI-Powered WhatsApp Chatbot Vaidya AI for Healthcare

The city government of Mumbai, called the BMC, made a new helper that lives inside WhatsApp.

The helper is a computer program named Vaidya AI that can talk to people like a friendly robot.

If someone in Mumbai is sick, they can text the helper to find doctors and hospitals nearby.

It can also tell people about government programs that help with healthcare.

The helper can speak different languages, so more people can use it.

People can send feedback through it, which helps the city improve its services.

The BMC built the helper together with a company called Fractal Analytics.

It will be tested for three months before it is fully rolled out.

The goal is to make it easier for everyone in Mumbai to get good healthcare.
