Valley of Words and O.P. Jindal Global University are starting a festival called ANEK.

It will focus on translating stories and other writing from India's many languages into English.

The first festival is planned for October 6, 2026, at the university.

Authors, translators, teachers, students, and others will gather there.

They will take part in conversations and readings about books and translation.

Some sessions will feature books translated from Hindi, Tamil, and Punjabi.

The organizers say the event will help people explore India's different literary traditions.
