Indian Railways Plans Direct Routing of Rail Madad Complaints

Indian Railways Plans Direct Routing of Rail Madad Complaints
Rail Madad complaints may soon be routed straight to train staff: Here’s what Indian Railways plans · financialexpress.com

Rail Madad is a service passengers use to report problems on trains.

Indian Railways wants these reports to reach the right train workers more quickly.

The plan would connect Rail Madad with a system called Coach Mitra.

Railway zones must enter the names and details of staff working on each train trip.

Then a complaint could go straight to the worker who can help.

Currently, missing staff information can cause complaints to go through a control office first.

This extra step may delay help for passengers.

People can use Rail Madad by calling 139, visiting its website, using the app or sending an SMS.

The service was launched in 2019.
