Ceigall India has been selected as the lowest bidder for a large electricity-transmission project.

The project is in Gujarat and is worth Rs 608.67 crore in annual transmission charges.

The company will help build systems that move electricity from several power-generation areas.

The work includes a large substation and about 300 kilometres of transmission lines.

Construction is expected to take 36 months.

The transmission agreement will operate for 35 years after the project is commissioned.

Ceigall said the project has no related-party transactions.

In the same period, the company reported a quarterly profit of Rs 61 crore and its share price rose 4% in one trading session.
