Telangana Reports 230 Dengue Cases in Four Months

Telangana is a place in India where people sometimes get sick from mosquito bites.

The sickness is called dengue.

Between April and July, 230 people in Telangana got dengue.

That is not a very big number, but doctors are watching carefully.

No one died from dengue in Telangana during that time.

The city of Hyderabad had fewer dengue cases this year than in the past two years.

That is good news.

But some other areas, like Rangareddy and Warangal, had more cases recently.

Doctors say it is important to protect yourself from mosquitoes.

You can do this by not leaving water standing around your house.

A doctor also said that influenza, or the flu, is more common right now than dengue.
