NIT Warangal Convocation Highlights Character, Innovation and Engineering Success

NIT Warangal held a ceremony to celebrate students finishing their studies.

On the first day, 930 undergraduate students and 22 exit-degree students received their degrees.

Texas Instruments India managing director Santhosh Kumar told them that good character and honesty matter as much as job skills.

He also encouraged them to learn from mistakes and create technology that helps society.

The institute said it had made progress in research, patents and student placements.

It is building new facilities, including hostels, classrooms and an amphitheatre.

NIT Warangal has also started courses in areas such as artificial intelligence, quantum technology and electric vehicles.

Postgraduate and PhD students were scheduled to receive their degrees on the second day.

Undergraduate salaries
The average salary was ₹18.54 lakh, while the highest domestic package was ₹1.27 crore.
Infrastructure
Projects worth about ₹900 crore are under way, including hostels, lecture halls and an academic block.
