NIT Warangal to Honour 1,997 Graduates at 24th Convocation
NIT Warangal is holding a special ceremony for students who have completed their studies.
The ceremony is called the 24th convocation.
A total of 1,997 students will receive their degrees.
They include undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD and exit-degree students.
Some students will also receive gold medals for excellent academic performance.
Other awards will recognize strong projects, dissertations and PhD theses.
Two people will receive honorary degrees for their work in engineering and technology.
Texas Instruments India managing director Santhosh Kumar will attend as the chief guest.
NIT Warangal will hold its 24th convocation on Saturday and Sunday at the Ambedkar Learning Centre.
The institute will award degrees to 930 B.Tech, 945 postgraduate, 100 PhD and 22 exit-degree students.
Gold medals and awards will recognize academic performance, projects, dissertations and PhD theses.
Chemical Engineering student Siddhi Barpute will receive the Director’s Gold Medal for overall B.Tech excellence.
Two honorary degrees will be awarded to Dr Padmanabhan K. Menon and Anand Ramamurthy for contributions to engineering and technology.
