Western Railway To Pilot Body Cameras For Mumbai Ticket Checkers

The train company in Mumbai, called Western Railway, is trying something new to keep train riding fair and safe.

When they check tickets, the camera records what happens with sound and pictures.

Sometimes people argue with ticket checkers, and sometimes fights break out.

The cameras will show exactly what happened so everyone can see the truth.

Ticket checkers are also getting special jackets with pockets to carry their ticket machines and ID cards.

The special jackets make it easy to see who the real ticket checkers are.

The trial starts on some air-conditioned local trains in Mumbai.

If the cameras work well, more ticket checkers across the railway will get them too.
