Maharashtra approves Sarvam AI deployment for 2,500 government users
The government of Maharashtra in India is getting some very smart computer helpers called AI.
These helpers are made by a company called Sarvam AI.
One helper, called Indus, is like a super-powered office assistant.
It can help government workers write notes, answer questions, and read documents.
Indus can understand and work with 22 Indian languages, including Marathi.
All the AI computers are kept safely inside India, so important government information does not leave the country.
About 2,500 government workers will be able to use it.
The government is also testing a helper that calls people who are sick with tuberculosis to remind them about their health.
This plan will cost about Rs 11.26 crore over two years.
