MCD Carries Out 34 Demolitions, Seals 17 Properties Citywide
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi took action against unsafe or unauthorized properties on September 9.
It demolished 34 properties and sealed 17 others across Delhi.

MCD has carried out more than 1,000 demolitions since June 1.
It has also issued notices and sealed hundreds of properties during that period.
The civic body checked 1,252 buildings used as PG accommodations.
Most needed no major action, but some required repairs and three were considered dangerous.
The campaign is meant to address construction violations, property misuse and safety risks.
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi carried out 34 demolitions and sealed 17 properties across all 12 zones on September 9.
From June 1 to September 9, MCD recorded 1,053 demolitions, 491 sealing actions, 2,316 show-cause notices and 757 demolition notices.
Narela recorded six demolitions, while South and Central zones reported five each.
MCD surveyed 1,252 PG buildings for structural safety, finding 39 needing minor repairs, nine needing major repairs and three classified as dangerous.
One of the three dangerous PG buildings had already been demolished, according to MCD records.
