After Satya Niketan Collapse, MCD Demolishes 34 Properties, Seals 17
A building used as a boys’ paying guest home collapsed in Satya Niketan on September 6.

On Wednesday, officials issued 22 show-cause notices and four demolition orders for building-code and Master Plan violations.
The MCD identified approximately 1,243 to 1,252 PG buildings housing an estimated 24,000 occupants across Delhi.
Officials must complete the PG survey by September 10 and classify buildings by visible safety and repair needs.
