Tamil Nadu Adds Registration Tokens For Avani Avittam Pournami
Tamil Nadu expects many people to register documents on Avani Avittam and Pournami.
These are considered auspicious days for registrations.
To help more people, the Registration Department is offering extra online appointment tokens.
Offices with one sub-registrar will offer 150 tokens instead of 100.
Offices with two sub-registrars will offer 300 instead of 200.
The busiest 100 offices will also receive extra regular and Tatkal appointments.
The changes apply to the expected rush on August 27, 2026.
People are being asked to use the additional slots to schedule registrations.
