Sambhajinagar Family Dies In Hill Fall, Dog Waits Outside
An 18-year-old named Kunal went to the edge of Khavda Hill and said he might jump.
His parents, villagers and police tried for nearly three hours to help him move away.
Kunal’s father went closer to stop him.
Kunal and his father then fell from the hill.
Kunal’s mother also fell while trying to respond.
All three family members died.
Their pet dog is now alone at their home.
Neighbours say the dog refuses food and waits by the door for its family.
Kunal Chandgude, 18, and his parents, Murlidhar and Sangita, died at Khavda Hill on Friday.
Kunal reportedly threatened to jump from the hill, prompting a nearly three-hour effort to persuade him to move away.
Kunal and his father fell while the father tried to intervene; his mother then also fell while responding.
Tourists, villagers and police personnel witnessed and attempted to assist during the incident.
The family’s pet dog remains outside their empty home and reportedly refuses food while waiting for them.
