Three members of his family died after falling from Khavda Hill.

After that, Sheru stayed outside their empty home.

Neighbours said he would not eat the food they offered him.

Animal welfare workers rescued him and looked for a safe place for him.

A man named Mane has now adopted Sheru.

Mane already looks after many Indian dogs.

A video shows Sheru with food, water and a leash in his new home.

Rakhi Thakur said dogs can learn to live in new surroundings and should be handled responsibly after tragedies.
