Kalyan Police Conduct Route March Ahead Of Ganeshotsav
Kalyan police held a march before the Ganeshotsav festival.
They did this because many people are expected to travel through the city.
The march started at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Udyan.
Officers and personnel walked through busy roads, markets and important junctions.
It ended at Lal Chowki after about 40 minutes.
More than 180 security personnel took part, along with mobile units and beat marshals.
The police used the march to check places that may become crowded.
They want the celebrations to remain safe and orderly.
Kalyan police conducted a route march on Saturday evening ahead of Ganeshotsav.
The march began at 6 p.m. from Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Udyan and ended around 6:40 p.m. at Lal Chowki.
The route covered major junctions and market areas across two police station jurisdictions.
The exercise included police officers, personnel, newly inducted recruits, State Reserve Police Force personnel and Home Guards.
Police said the march would strengthen visibility, assess sensitive locations and support crowd management during the festival.
